- 1Government House property, Toronto, appropriated for use of Province
The site of the Ontario Government House, situated in the city of Toronto, bounded by Wellington, John, King and Simcoe streets, and containing two hundred and sixty-six thousand one hundred and fifty-one square feet English measure, more or less, is hereby appropriated for the use of the government of the province of Ontario within the meaning of “The British North America Act, 1867,” and the schedules thereto.
- 2Order in council and letters patent confirmed
The order in council dated the fourteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one, appropriating and transferring to the government of the province of Ontario the lands above described and letters patent dated the fifteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and eight, declaring the said lands to have been transferred, shall be and be deemed to be an appropriation of the said lands for the use of the provincial legislature of the province of Ontario, within the meaning of “The British North America Act, 1867,” and such lands, from and after the date of such order in council, are declared to have been and are now the property of the province of Ontario.
